  • Delivered 548 projects (221 more than previous year)
  • Planted 5737 trees (2669 more than previous year) 
  • Improved 887,003m² of land
  • Maintained a further 159,797m² of land
  • Provided 4416 days for young people to be actively involved (906 more than previous year)
  • Provided 4871 days for adults to be actively involved (3047 more than previous year) 
  • Actively involved 135 schools in their work (25 more than previous year)
  • Supported 485 businesses across their projects (229 more than previous year) 
  • Created 43 jobs (15 more than previous year) 
  • Provided 836 training weeks (405 more than previous year)
  • Helped people gain 226 formal qualifications (110 more than previous year)
  • Saved 7692 tonnes of CO² in their work (5651.12 tonnes more than previous year)

In the financial year 2009-10, Groundwork East of England supported 22 young people on a government led employment programme and continued supporting further young people during financial year 2010-11.  Each person started full time employment in various roles such as:
