How to contact our team
Each year we make an incredible impact on the ground.
Our local programmes and services are tailored to the needs of partners and communities in that locality. When all that local activity is added together, it becomes a major national force for change.
We work on over 300 individual projects each year – focused on disadvantaged communities. We measure our impact in various ways – for example area of land improved and amount of carbon saved – but what’s most important is how we change people’s lives. These quotes speak for themselves:
“This is your garden – you made it. Every time you walk past it you can feel proud of a job well done and of your contribution to your community” Christine Walkden, talking to the children involved in Creating a “Mediterranean” Garden, Basildon, as part of ‘Changing Places; Engaging People’ programme, 2006.
"This project shows that you can make a real difference by getting people involved…By using art, we can get people interested in their community. We can get them to take pride in the area where they live.” Colchester Borough Homes’ Resident Involvement Officer, Nevina Williams, talking about the Penrice Close project, as part of the ‘Changing Places through People’ programme in Haven Gateway, 2008.
