How to contact our team
Groundwork has been in existence for over 30 years. The first Groundwork Trusts were established in the North West in 1981 and by 2005 there were 50 trusts across the UK, including Wales and Northern Ireland. We also have affiliated operations in the United States and Japan. The Groundwork Federation as we know it today came into existence in 2000 ans since then a number of Trusts have merged together.
In the East of England the first Trust to be established was Groundwork Hertfordshire in 1983.
In 2004 a decision was taken by the Groundwork Federation to develop Groundwork in the East of England to play a key role in delivering sustainable communities in areas of need. Groundwork South Essex and Groundwork Luton and Bedfordshire were established in 2006-7 and more recently Groundwork East of England was established in 2009. Since then the regional Trust has developed an operational presence in Woodbridge to cover the Haven Gateway and Suffolk.
