In the region

Groundwork East of England is one of nine regional teams in England and was established in September 2004. The office is part of the wider Groundwork Federation and has the same values and vision.  The government sponsors Groundwork to be a key delivery agent for the Sustainable Communities plan, to support and enable communities and partners in areas of need, including the East of England growth areas and growth points. Our aim is to build sustainable communities through joint environmental action.

The team operates across the region and, with colleagues in the local Groundwork Trusts, work on dozens of individual projects each year. We focus our activity on disadvantaged communities or communities in need, where we can make the most difference.
