05 Oct 2011East tilbury Junior School This week saw the GreenScene gardening club supported by magic cash for kids out of the garden and into the kitchen with the aim of using some of our home grown rhubarb to make a crumble.
21 Sep 2011South Essex Jack Sweetenham, Is 18 years old, he joined the Groundwork South Essex team in August 2011, and has been doing different types of jobs throughout the office including admin work and work with the different projects.

21 Sep 2011East Tilbury After the success of the GreenScene gardening club at East Tilbury Junior School, supported by Magic Cash for Kids, it was a sad time for the club in July as many of the club members were year six pupils who would be moving on to secondary school. This term has seen some new year five recruits for the club.

01 Aug 2011Rayleigh Support from local civil engineering contractor VolkerFitzpatrick, a VolkerWessels Company, has ensured a thriving gardening club can continue in the coming years at Wyburns Primary School garden. With a keen group of pupils attending a weekly garden club for the last two years, the school have had real successes with their garden, growing runner beans, tomatoes and pumpkins to mention but a few crops. However, after several growing seasons the filled raised beds became really depleted – with very little compost in which to grow anything!
