Location: Bedford and Kempston Ten schools in Bedford and Kempston have signed up to take part in a 'Vegetable Festival' project this spring and summer.
Location: Luton Groundwork was asked by LBC Parks to arrange and supervise the community planting of 700 whips from the Woodland Trust to create a Jubilee Woodland.
Location: Luton & Bedfordshire Groundwork's new campaign - @myurbangreen – thanks to funding from Marks & Spencer. The programme will reconnect communities with their environment by being actively involved in shaping the future development, maintenance and management of their local Greener Living Spaces.
Location: Kensworth Groundwork received funding from Cemex, to undertake an environmental projects with schools located within walking distance of the large chalk quarry outside the village of Kensworth in Central Bedfordshire.
Location: Luton Over the last three years, Groundwork has run a series of growing clubs at schools and community centres throughout Luton and Bedfordshire, aimed at giving children and their families the experience of growing their own fruit, vegetables and flowers.
Location: Houghton Regis In 2009, Groundwork began work with Central Bedfordshire Council to enhance Blue Waters Woodland and Plaiters Way green space on the north west edge of Houghton Regis.
Location: Luton Groundwork delivered the estate transformationson behalf of the Marsh Farm Community Development Trust, working in partnership with Marsh Farm Outreach and Luton Borough Council.
Location: Luton & Bedfordshire The John Laing Services to Schools Programme helps to improve the grounds of schools and nurseries by encouraging the creation of areas for wildlife, play and outdoor learning, with funding from John Laing.
Location: Downside Groundwork delivered an exciting portfolio of activities at Downside Neighbourhood Centre with the aim of creating more inviting and functional outdoor areas for Centre users and staff.
Location: Totternhoe, Central Bedfordshire Central Bedfordshire Council has commissioned Groundwork to develop a vision plan for the valuable network of greens lanes, heritage sites and greens spaces around Totternhoe, to the west of Dunstable.
