Groundwork works with schools and youth organisations to deliver innovative environmental education, transform school grounds and re-engage disaffected young people into education. Our work with school children in school links to the national curriculum and helps to illustrate how our individual actions can make a difference to the local and global environment. Teaching young people about their impact on the planet is the first step to changing that behaviour for the better. We also work with schools to support ‘at risk’ young people, providing them with positive experiences and building the skills that will allow them to move forwards with education, employment or training.

We believe that the school environment is one of the most influential environments children experience
We use the environment to help re-engage pupils with education - both within the school grounds and outside of the usual educational system
The garden is looking fabulous! I especially love the log circle, and the planting looks great. Thank you and your team for what is a very exciting addition to our school. Catherine Richardson, Waulud Primary School.
