We are delighted to confirm that Hertfordshire County Council (Herts 2012 Ready For Winners) is funding a new, "one off" Green Team to be named "Green Team - Growing Communities". It will commence in February 2012 and be specifically focussed on providing support to District and Parish Councils, local organisations and community groups who aspire to create or improve a community area to celebrate and commemorate the London 2012 Olympics and/or the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Aspirations could range from a celebratory planting scheme to the creation of a new commemorative garden and everything in between including perhaps a project to link with the recently announced Olympic Torch relay route!
